As usual, Auvation will be represented by Ian, our technical director.
18 February Cambridge Network
Auvation has enjoyed working with many companies in the Cambridge area over the past 20 years and thus is pleased to have joined the Cambridge Network.

21 November Aerolink Farnborough, UK
Auvation was pleased to meet a number of companies, both potential new customers and suppliers, at this annual event.
18-19 October Internal Auditor Training
Ben, senior consultant and acting quality officer, together with James(C) and Lindsay completed formal ISO-9001 internal auditor training, delivered by TSW at CBTC.
14 October Cardiff Half Marathon
16 September Great North Run in Newcastle
Alan, Auvation's managing director, this year ran these two half marathon events. With over 40,000 runners, the Great North Run is one of the world's biggest runs. The Cardiff Half Marathon is also becoming a magnificent event, this year attracting over 18,000 runners.

21-24 February ARINC Software Data Loader (SDL) Subcommittee, Stuttgart, Germany
Following these meetings, ARINC 838 is ready for industry consultation. ARINC 838 is the next generation aviation industry standard for aircraft loadable software. Ian is an expert in aircraft loadable software technology and an active participant in these meetings.
15-16 February Southern Manufacturing & Electronics with Auto/Aero, Farnborough, UK
It can be difficult for producers of sophisticated equipment to maintain expertise in modern software methods and technologies. Alan, Auvation's managing director, will be on hand to discuss visitors' potential requirements.
2011
20-21 October ARINC Software Data Loader (SDL) Subcommittee Meeting, Simi Valley, California, USA
Auvation was again represented by its technical director, Ian. The meeting (amongst other activities) set a work plan for finalizing ARINC 838 which is expected to be mature in February 2012. ARINC 838 is the next generation aviation industry standard for aircraft loadable software.
16-19 August AUVSI unmanned systems, Washington DC, USA
Auvation was represented at AUVSI by its managing director, Alan, who was pleased to meet with leading members in the industry. Auvation shared a stand with other companies from Wales, which has diverse UAS interests.
22-25 February ARINC Software Data Loader (SDL) Subcommittee, Stuttgart, Germany
Auvation demonstrated work carried out on Part Studio to produce one of the first working implementations of the draft ARINC 838 standard for loadable software parts. Auvation also contributed to the continued development of the ARINC 838 specification. It is planned that a draft of ARINC 838 will be submitted for adoption at around Q4 of 2011.

8-10 September DEFSEC Atlantic 2010, Halifax, Nova Scotia
24-27 August AUVSI unmanned systems, Denver, CO, USA
Venus Studio, our toolkit for the development of "virtual environments for new UAV systems" was extremely well received at AUVSI, as was our physical UAV built from a model helicopter. Auvation was able to meet with the key UAV companies as well many of the interesting newer participants in this market.
16-19 August: ARINC Software Data Loader (SDL) Subcommittee, Portland, WA, USA
Ian, our technical director, participated in this subcommittee meeting which continued the development of standards such as ARINC 665 and ARINC 838.
19-25 July Farnborough Airshow
Auvation's technologies, in particular Venus Studio and (ARINC 665) Part Studio, and its general software capabilities were well received. We again intend having a stand at the next Farnborough Airshow in 2012.
10-12 March European Artemis Programme, CESAR Project, SP1, Munich
We were in attendance at this progress meeting of the 57-member European consortium.
3-5 March ARINC Software Data Loader (SDL) Subcommittee, Los Angeles
Ian, our technical director, was pleased to attend this subcommittee meeting, particularly to meet with industry experts and contribute to the draft ARINC 838 standard.
